Objective:
To provide detailed instructions on how to book a desk, meetings, huddle and conference rooms.
✅ Step 1: Reboot
Reboot your PC to see if that fixes the issue
✅Step 2: Check Microphone Volume
In the Recording tab, double-click your microphone.
Go to the Levels tab.
Make sure the mic is not muted and volume is at least 80-100.
✅Step 3: Check Connections
Make sure the mic is plugged in properly (if external).
Check physical mute switch (on headset or inline control).
Test with another device (to rule out hardware failure).
Use another port
✅Step 4: Set the Correct Mic as Default
Right-click the 🔊 speaker icon in your taskbar.
Choose "Sound settings”
Make sure the correct mic is set.
Speak into the mic – do you see green bars? If not, continue.
✅Step 5: Give Apps Permission to Use the Mic
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
Ensure Microphone access is turned ON.
Make sure "Let apps access your microphone" is ON.
Scroll down and enable access for specific apps (e.g., Zoom, Teams, etc.).
✅ Step 6: Windows Update
Make sure your system is up-to-date:
Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.
