✅ 1. Check Audio Device Settings in Teams
- Open Teams.
- Click on the (…) and go to Settings
- Under Devices, ensure the correct speaker and microphone are selected based on the devices you are trying to use. (Speaker is the device you want to hear audio from and microphone is the device you use to be heard by others.)
- Click Make a test call to verify input/output.
✅ 2. Check Windows Sound Settings
- Right-click the 🔊 Sound icon in your taskbar > Open Sound settings.
- Under Output and Input, make sure the right devices are selected.
- Click Device Properties > Additional device properties to ensure nothing is muted or disabled.
✅ 3. Ensure Teams Has Microphone Access
- Go to your PC's Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
- Ensure Microphone access is turned ON.
- Make sure "Let apps access your microphone" is ON.
- Scroll down and enable access for specific apps like TEAMS
✅ 4. Restart Teams
Sometimes, a quick restart fixes it:
- Right-click Teams in the taskbar > Quit.
- Reopen Teams.
✅ 5. Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update.
- Install any pending updates and restart your PC.
✅ 6. Check Your Headset or Mic
- Try using a different headset or mic.
- Test your mic in another app (e.g., Zoom, Sound Recorder).
✅ 7. Uninstall/Reinstall Teams (if nothing else works)
- Uninstall Microsoft Teams from Add/Remove Programs.
- Reboot your PC.
