- Go to the Microsoft 365 portal:
- Visit https://portal.office.com and sign in with your work or school account.
- Access your account settings:
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select “View account.”
- Navigate to password settings:
- In the left-hand menu, click on “Security info” or “Password.”
- If you clicked “Security info,” then click the “Change password” link.
- Change your password:
- Enter your new password, and confirm the new password.
- Click Submit.
⚠️ Your new password must usually meet certain complexity requirements (e.g., 8+ characters, a mix of upper/lowercase letters, numbers, symbols).
🔁 If your organization uses Active Directory sync or Single Sign-On:
- You may need to change your password through your company’s password portal or on your work computer (e.g., by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete and selecting “Change a password”).

- After changing your password, make sure to update it in all apps and devices where your account is connected (Outlook, Teams, mobile Mail apps, etc.).
